Bessy Lustiva-Espina’s life is marked by her family’s movements within the Philippines and eventually Canada. Her photography documents a journey through many hometowns and explores the relationship between people and the outdoor spaces they’re most familiar with. Bessy was a member of Gallery 44 Centre for Contemporary Photography. Her work was featured in Spectra 2022, Gallery 44’s entry at the Scotiabank Contact Photography Festival in Toronto. She is also a nurse who lives in Toronto and travels to British Columbia for work.
